The Dashboard is the first screen you see when you open Field Service Companion. It is designed to help you answer one simple question: Who should I visit next?
Continue the Conversation
The top section of the Dashboard shows the contacts you are most likely to want to visit soon. The app considers several things when deciding who to surface:
- How long it has been since your last visit with each person.
- Whether the person is a Bible study.
- Whether there is an open conversation thread — for example, literature you left or a question they asked.
You do not need to set this up. The Dashboard updates automatically based on your contacts and visits.
Tap any contact card to go directly to the Log Visit screen, so you can quickly record your next visit with them.
Your Month
This section gives you a warm summary of your activity for the current month:
- How many different people you have visited this month.
- How many people you are currently studying with.
The Bible study count is the same number you would report on the S-4-E form — it counts contacts marked as "Studying" or "Studying Regularly" who you visited during the month. The app calculates this for you automatically.
Coming Up
This section will display reminders and follow-up prompts in a future update. For now, it serves as a placeholder.
Why No Hours or Placements?
Field Service Companion is built around people, not metrics. The Dashboard surfaces the next conversation to continue, not numbers to optimise. Hours, placements, and return visit counts are not tracked because the app is designed to help you remember the person — not to generate a report.
If you need to report your Bible study count, see the article "Preparing Your Monthly Report."
Need More Help?
