Getting Started With Field Service Companion

Welcome to Field Service Companion! This app is designed to help you remember the people you meet in the ministry and continue meaningful conversations with them.

What You Need

Field Service Companion is available for iPhone and Android. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Signing In

When you open Field Service Companion for the first time, you will need to sign in. This requires an internet connection.

1. Open the app.
2. Choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete sign-in.

Once you have signed in, the app works fully offline. You do not need an internet connection to add contacts, log visits, or use any core features.

Note: If you do not have internet access at first launch, the app will display a message: "Sign in requires an internet connection. Once signed in, the app works fully offline." Connect to the internet, sign in, and then you can use the app anywhere — even with no signal at all.

Your First Steps

After signing in, you will see a brief set of tooltips that point out the main features of the app:

• Contacts — where you add and manage the people you visit.
• Visit — where you log what you discussed.
• Dashboard — where the app surfaces who you should visit next.
• Import — where you can bring in contacts from your phone.

Each tooltip is dismissed by tapping anywhere on the screen. They are shown only once.

What's on Each Tab

• Home — Your dashboard. It shows which conversations to continue and a summary of your month.
• Contacts — A searchable list of everyone you have added.
• Map — A map view showing your contacts by address, so you can plan your route.
• Visit — A quick way to log a visit for the currently selected contact.
• Settings — Backup, accessibility options, and app information.

Free Plan

Field Service Companion is free to use. The free plan supports up to 500 contacts with all core features. A Premium plan with cloud sync and additional features is planned for a future version.
