If something in Field Service Companion is not working as expected, you can share a debug report with us. This helps us understand what happened and fix the problem.
How to Report a Problem
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Tap Share Debug Report.
- The app prepares a diagnostic file and opens your phone's share sheet.
- Choose how you want to send it — for example, email it to support@returnvisits.org.
That's all you need to do. The report gives us the information we need to investigate the problem.
If the App Crashed
If the app closed unexpectedly, you may see a prompt the next time you open it:
"It looks like something went wrong last time. Would you like to share a debug report?"
- Tap Share to send the report using the same share sheet described above.
- Tap Dismiss if you do not wish to send a report.
This prompt appears only once after a crash. If you dismiss it, you can still send a report manually from Settings at any time.
What to Include in Your Message
When you send the debug report, it helps if you also describe the problem briefly. For example:
- What you were doing when the problem occurred.
- Screenshots of the screen you were on, and any error messages.
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
Even a short description — such as "The app closed when I tried to save a visit" — helps us locate the issue faster.
